Overview

The Ampang Line (AGL) is the first LRT system to be introduced into the Klang Valley Integrated Transit Network and coloured orange on the transit map. It is currently being operated by RapidRail Sdn Bhd under the brand of RapidKL.

Ampang Line is the first standard gauge railway in Malaysia which features both at-grade and elevated sections in the city centre. It is currently 15 km long with 18 stations from Sentul Timur to Ampang.

The first and second phase of the Ampang Line opened in 1996 and 1998 subsequently. The line mainly serves the northern and eastern region of the Klang Valley.
