Overview
The Air-Conditioned Conference Coach (ACC) is a specially refurbished coach designed to function as a mobile meeting and event space within KTM’s charter train services.
The interior features conference-style seating with tables and audio-visual systems, creating a suitable environment for meetings, presentations, and discussions while on the move.
Additional onboard facilities such as a lounge area, surau, and pantry are also included, making it suitable for longer journeys and group use.
History
ACC is a refurbished coach converted from the former AEC (EPLUS) coach by KTK DOM Railway in 2025. The upgrade focused on heavily redesigning the interior into a more private and exclusive layout, including new wall panels, lightning, flooring, and upgraded onboard facilities to create a more comfortable and premium environment.
While the interior has been significantly reconfigured, the exterior structure remains largely based on the original AEC (EPLUS) coach, retaining its coach body with an updated livery applied to reflect its new role. ACC also serves as the successor to the earlier conference coach (ASC 2119) in blue colored livery, replacing them with a more refined and modern interior to provide an improved travel experience.
The coach body was manufactured by Indian Railway Integral Coach Factory (ICF) and shipped to Hartasuma for assembly in 2003. Hartasuma then manufactured these train as AEC (EPLUS) and then later these coach were refurbished into ASC later. Now the 2nd refurbishment by KTK DOM Railway converted the ASC into ACC coaches with interior designed by Helmi Hanif Architect.
Lines
ACC is currently owned by KTM Charter Train and will be used on chartered trains only.
Designs
Exterior
The ACC carries a unique livery featuring a combination of deep maroon, white, and dark grey tones.
A dark grey band runs along the window line, visually dividing the coach into two sections with a smooth curved transition.
Above it, a clean white section fills the upper section of the coach, while the lower section is painted in rich maroon that sweeps in a wave-like form towards one end.
The “CONFERENCE” marking and KTM branding can be seen displayed on the side of the train.
Interior
The interior of the ACC is designed as a modern mobile conference suite with a sleek, high-tech interior centered around a monochrome palette of white, grey, and black.
The room features a long conference table set against a backdrop of smooth white wall panels with grey accents and dark blue patterned carpeting.
The space is brightly lit with LED window frames, recessed ceiling light strips, and spotlights, to create a clean and professional atmosphere.

Sensor equipped door to provide privacy and allowing smooth access to the conference room.
Tinted Windows
Darkened window reduces outside visibility, enhance privacy and comfort throughout the journey.
Onboard Facilities
Lounge Area
A separate lounge space with comfortable seating and a TV, suitable for relaxation or informal discussions.
Surau
A small prayer room is provided onboard to accommodate passengers who wish to perform prayers.
Pantry
An onboard pantry with fridge, microwave, water dispenser, coffee maker and table for basic food preparation during the journey.
Toilet
A dedicated onboard toilet is available for passenger convenience throughout the journey.

The manufacturer plate placed at the entrance of the coach shows the yeara of manufacture and manufacturer information.
